Central Florida Health Announces New AVP of Clinical Effectiveness

(The Villages, FL) Andrew Huntt, MD, has been appointed Associate Vice President (AVP) of Clinical Effectiveness at Central Florida Health. He assumed this role after a long and very successful record of excellence with Florida Musculoskeletal Institute.

A graduate of the University of Miami School of Medicine, Dr. Huntt is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who completed an internship at Boston Medical Center in Massachusetts and his residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in Texas.

“We are excited to have Dr. Huntt join our team and start this new chapter in his career,” says Saad Ehtisham, Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer at Central Florida Health. “As we embark on various initiatives ranging from population health, physician alignment, bundle payment and more, having an experienced physician well-known by our medical staff will be of great value to our organization.”

As AVP of Clinical Effectiveness, Dr. Huntt will provide a physician’s knowledge and perspective to the administrative team. He will provide strategic leadership for the development and measurement of a system-wide approach to clinical quality improvement and medical safety focusing on evidence-based clinical practices.

“I’m confident that Dr. Huntt’s experience and expertise will be extremely valuable as we focus on patient outcomes, efficiency of care and enhance the alignment between medical staff and the health system,” concludes Ehtisham.
