Central Florida Health Named To Becker’s Healthcare 2016 Edition of Its List, ‘150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare’

(The Villages, FL) Becker’s Healthcare has named Central Florida Health to its 2016 list of “150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare.” This list is a compilation of hospitals, health systems, ambulatory surgical centers, physician groups, vendors and other healthcare organizations that provide excellent work environments and outstanding benefits to their employees.

“We are honored to be listed for the second year in a row among the 150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare,” said Amie Richason, Vice President of Human Resources at Central Florida Health. “Our employees are our most valuable resource and their health, happiness and success is vitally important in their work lives as they provide care for the people of Lake, Sumter and Marion Counties.”

The Becker’s Healthcare editorial team determined the organizations included on this year’s list. Organizations that submitted nominations were considered, as were organizations that received national, state or local recognition previously earned for workplace excellence, as well as benefits offerings, wellness initiatives and efforts to improve professional development, diversity and inclusion, work-life balance and a sense of community among employees.

Central Florida Health offers health and wellness benefits to employees as well as tobacco cessation courses, nicotine replacement programs and reduced rates to its on-site fitness center in Leesburg. Employees may also receive a performance improvement incentive bonus for reaching quality and patient satisfaction goals. Additionally, the innovative Bright Ideas Program inspires team members to share their ideas, and if an idea is implemented and results in cost savings, the team member can receive up to 2% of those savings.

“We remain dedicated to providing our team members with the programs, benefits and resources to achieve meaningful, rewarding careers,” concludes Richason. “We are honored to be recognized among the top organizations in the United States and for the acclaim this brings to our area.”
